I had the most normal dream ever last night. My class and I were at a haunted house that was part of our school, and then we were at Disney World. That seems…fairly normal, by my standards.
But then at one part the little sister of a girl in my class was collecting blankets but she wasn't going to send them to the troops (Apparently this happened during WWII…?) because they had enough and she instead was going to cut them up and give them to the poor. Yeah.
But then there was the part where we were eating Fritos but were for some reason calling them Doritos, and I was able to fit a whole bunch of them in my mouth, which impressed/weirded out some of the guys.
But then there was the part where I ran around the Disney store shouting about sweaters and then my dad tried to set me up with an 8-year-old girl, albeit jokingly. Because that's not creepy in the slightest.
You probably shouldn't read into this dream that much, unless I want to end up on a psychiatrist's couch.

For most of yesterday evening, if you wanted to calculate the center of a triangle made by points A-throwing up, B-crying, and C-falling asleep, all you would have had to do was attach a interdimensional triangulation thing to me, as I was balancing on a knife's edge in the center of said triangle. However, a source of great angst for me over the past few weeks has turned into something wonderful, so I'm cool.
Now if only I could translate these great passages into my novel…. My characters are eating cereal. I have an outline, goshdarnit!

Look! More Writings! (Part Two)
And now, I must apologize for the squickily disappointing ending. Just in time for Hallowe'en! (And yes, I am dorkily pretentious enough to add the apostrophe every friggin' time.)
^_^ I'm such a freak!
Yeah. Aliens want to impregnate you with green scaly alien behbes. I'm really sorry about what you just read.
^_^ I'm such a freak!
How did your life end up like this? You were so content just last week. Sure, you weren't the luckiest person in the world, but you were pretty happy with how things turned out. Your life could have been a lot worse.
And now…this. How did it happen? When did it happen? Why did it happen? For what purpose? Why were you in that room, and where are you now? Somewhere much cleaner, that's for sure. White walls and four chairs. The three facing you are black; your chair is red. But those… You hesitate to call them people. Figures. The figures in the shadows are gone.
You have so many questions. You almost wish the figures would come back to answer them. No, no you don't. You can't seem to be able to picture their faces, so you suppose you must have blocked it somehow. But whatever they look like, you know they're bad news.
What's that sound? The wall slides open and… Green. Green and scaly. Not even B-movie 'green skinned space babe' green. Pastel green, a color that wouldn't be out of place in a little girl's room. Somehow, they are still menacing. There's three of them now. The woman and two men, one of which carries a canvas bag. While the guys take a seat, the woman makes her way over to you. You try to jerk away as she grabs your chin, but she twists your head to either side to take look at your face. You yelp in pain, but she just smirks and lets go of your face. Obviously, they have no qualms about causing you pain or discomfort.
"This one is just right."
There's no sign of her accent anymore. What? Her voice is a calming, mellow purr. You can't help but relax, thinking that maybe, just maybe, everything will be all right. Your peace is shattered as soon as one of the men speaks. His voice is harsh and guttural, like a tiger with strep throat, but it's what he says that disturbs you.
"Shall we commence to impregnate it?" he says.
"Impregnate? It?" you yelp. "But I can't— I'm not an it!" Funny how that is at the front of your mind, not the impregnation thing. "What are you going to do to me?!"
"Our race is nearly extinct," says the woman. "None of us left can birth children, so we need someone to carry on the legacy."
"So you're going to impregnate me?" you squeak. You're stupid.
"Mm-hmm." Now she's opening packages of something—you don't want to think about what it is—from the bag. "Check and see if it's male or female."
One of the male aliens stands up, and now is when you start to really panic. You leap away, running towards the closed door-wall, hoping it will open. You crash into the wall at full tilt, and as you slump to the floor, your head ringing, the walls slides open, letting in a cool breeze that smells of chlorine. You attempt to make a break for it, but a clammy hand closes around your neck and drags you back to the chair. It is obvious you won't be going anywhere.
This is going to hurt.
Yeah. Aliens want to impregnate you with green scaly alien behbes. I'm really sorry about what you just read.

Bleh.
Friends! Readers! Countrymen! Lend me your ears…
Guess what I did this weekend! Feast of the Hunter's Moon. I'd put a link there but I am incredibly lazy today (more on that in a moment) and if you're reading this, you must have access to a search engine, right? Well, I meant to leave behind a long, meandering post on Friday to tide y'alls over until I got back, but I wasn't able to. Sadface. (By which I mean, I forgot.)
So, the Feast was pretty great. Bought a lotta stuff, ate three bowls of Noodleables over two days, slept in the car…oh, yeah, and now I am very sick. Like, pounding-headache, already-used-half-a-box-of-tissues, cannot-get-out-of-bed-or-I'll-fall-over-asdfghjkl kind of sick.
Not. Fun.
I would actually rather be at school, feeling well, than in bed, feeling like crap, even if I do have peanut butter cookies.
Which is why I am incredibly lazy and can't seem to do anything but watch Futurama and eat food and read fanfiction. (Somewhat warped alliteration!)
BUT I have a lot of free time today! Free time that I can spend on my new Ultra-Super-Secret-Awesome-Project! I have a schedule worked up and everything. If it's not done by next week, I will be sad and mopey for a few days before I come up with a new Ultra-Awesome-Project!!!!!1!!!
Uh…yeah. What was the point of this post?

Dream Dream
Had another dream this morning. I just woke up from it and I do not remember any sort of logical progression in it at all. It was basically me walking around for a while with my laptop, watching nonsensical AT4W videos and bemoaning the fact that my mom got a giant bowl of candy and the only thing I could eat were these tiny mauve triangles that tasted like crap. My cousins put in an appearance, but the only interaction I had with them was grabbing one of the boys and pushing him in front of me while I shouted "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?" and pointed at a tiny, ratty, yappy dog that was sniffing around next to my pool that I don't actually have. For some reason, my house was host to a lotta tiny, yappy dogs. Also they put makeup on my cat and my mom's nonexistent-in-reality boss was sleeping in my bed.
I couldn't have been asleep for too long, because when I fell asleep my alarm was still purring and it's now seven thirty, while my alarm clock goes off at seven fifteen. I'm also typing this blearily while trying to keep my eyes open for more than a few seconds at a time, having just woken up. My apologies. Now I must go and… *thunk*

Ireland, pt 7: The Festival? The Festival!
Not going to start singing that song from Into The Woods…not gonna, not gonna…
Now, where did we leave off? Oh, right. So, the morning after the first day Tall Ships Festival, I woke up late (for once) and had eggs and yogurt for breakfast. Never woulda guessed I like yogurt, would you? The August session of Camp NaNoWriMo had just started—yes, NaNoWriMo takes up most of my life—so I got some writing done before we drove to a fort. I didn't take any notes on this, and I don't remember much about it. I'm finally seeing a downside to procrastination.
Later, we drove to a lighthouse (couldn't go up in it), and then climbed around some tide pools for a while. Or something. I'm purely working off the notes I took and my faulty little memories. One thing I do remember pretty clearly is one of the most hilarious-in-retrospect thing that happened on that vacation.
I was selling CDs for the band with Dean, and we had only sold one CD when a trio of 11-year-old boys came by and hassled us for a while. It was kind of hilarious. While it was happening I was just sitting there like, "S r s l y w h a t i s t h i s ?" but, come on, how many other people can say they've been mildly hassled by a trio of 11-year-old Irish boys while selling CDs? Very few, I'm sure.
Well, now I have to go "do" some "writing."Totally not sitting here, staring at a blank screen.
Watch out next time for a Very Special Post about the really freakin' weird dream I had. Or probably not. Most likely not.
You know, you never finished this. There's still days left that haven't been blogged about. Idiot.

A Brief Dissertation on the Subject of My Unfinished Article and the Feline Form
At the moment, I'm working on a sort of longish post entitled 3 is a Magic Number. Whether or not it's worth is entirely up to the reader, but I'm just poking my head in for a moment to say that I'm working on something else really big right now, which you will be able to see sometime in the near future—probably.
As an excuse for content, here's a picture of my darling cat, Sally.

Platypodes and Anime Vampires
Yeah, that's basically what I dreamed about last night. At the beginning I was at some sort of jungle-themed summer camp, and for some reason I brought my fat, fluffy, orange pet platypus. But—oh noes!—pet platypus was injured in some way that was never really clear to me! Maybe it was her foot or something…?
So I took her home (which didn't, in any way, resemble my actual house) and put her in my room, and then I went and sat on the stairs while my younger sister (???) was watching TV. Apparently, she was watching an anime about weird vampire romance. At first I thought it took place in some sort of dystopian future world, but no, the vampires lived in Missouri. Lovely.
And then my mom woke me up and my cat jumped onto my bed. Good morning.

Posting Less
Only in my mind could a sentence like "Oh no! I almost knocked over the shot glass of raspberries with my elephant!" make sense.
To business.
As of today, I will be posting much more erratically. If I get an idea for a post, I will write it, but I'm not going to write half a dozen blog posts of padding a week. So…erratic. Yeah. Maybe I'll even start editing, or making sure I have a climatic ending for each post. This is partially due to Claudia chastising me for all those pointless posts.
Um…. Here's a picture of a swimming pool.
